TJ 's thoughts:

The Atlanta 10 Miler is one of my favorite races each year. I have done it every year. The cheer station and challenging course make it a fun and rewarding race.

T-shirt/Swag: The shirt is one of my favorites. I tend to get it oversized to wear as outerwear during the colder weather in Atlanta. The medal design changes each year and is really nice.

Aid/Stations: The aid stations have water and Powerade. 2016 had a Cliff block station around mile 6. In addition to traditional water stations, each mile or so has a cheer station. The Roller Derby Girls have been my running favorite. There is a King/Queen of the Hill challenge for the fastest up Cardiac Hill and the top 100 get a prize too. (2017 change being advertised is a run down Cardiac instead of up)

Course Scenery: Races starts and finishes at Atlantic Station. The route is shaded which is nice because the weather has been warm on race day but unpredictable in Atlanta. Mainly on closed streets but some of the course is in one lane on an otherwise open street.

Elevation: It is HILLY. I like to say they found all the hills in a 10-mile loop and maybe a few extra!

Parking/Access: Plenty of paid parking at Atlantic Station. Get there early and there is race day special parking rates. Easy to access the start line after parking. However, the lines can get long, making it essential that you arrive early.

Race Management: Atlanta Track Club does an excellent job with the race. There are volunteers with Got Questions signs. The race team is aware if there are issues with Atlanta traffic and will adjust accordingly.

Overall, I highly recommend this race. There is also a 5K on the same day to make it a great event for everyone. It is the second int he Triple Peach series and Triple Peachers can self-seed. The cheer stations give it a party like atmosphere.
