I just want to say I LOVED this race! I ran it as part of the B2B weekend with the First Light Half in Mobile Alabama. This race is typically on most individuals top ten half list and for good reason.

The Expo/Packet Pickup: It was a pretty small expo - mainly MS Blue products and a handful of vendors.

Swag: 3/4 zip up, Blues CD, harmonic (my 3 year old LOVED this) and large medal

Race: Chilly start. Not the most scenic course, but it does take you thru the nicer parts of Jackson. For the first 6 miles I was wondering where are the hills? Don't worry, around mile 7 when you start to get tired, you will find them. I love hills (mainly the down hill part) so this course was a lot of fun and a great fitness test!!

Course Entertainment: There we a few blues musicians along the course. I would have like to see more...

Post Race: Plenty of snacks (Pizza, Cookies, Chocolate milk, Bananas, etc.)

Overall, this race was a lot of fun. If you are looking to race in multiple states I would HIGHLY recommend the back to back challenge. I have never run a marathon, but this race is on my short list.
