This is the 5th year in a row I've done this race. It's one of my favorite yearly events. The course can be a bit challenging, with hills and a variety of terrain changes. The aid stations are well stocked. Before the race, there is a small expo with some local vendors, Nebraska Ortho does pre-race muscle work and stretching, there's a photo booth and all of this is held inside SAC Air Museum. The lasses get a 5 min head start- the only challenge here is that the start corral is inside the museum and as you go through the fences to get out onto the course, it's a tight squeeze. I personally would like to see them widen this. The winning gender wins free beer for all the other runners of that gender. This is always a fun race, and it is always well organized. The folks at Pink Gorilla Events do an amazing job putting on fun events for runners.
