I love this event! This was my 4th year running! The point to point course is always enjoyable, as it is a net downhill. There are a couple slight hills in the beginning, but once you get to mile 5, it's almost all downhill or flat. The finish over the pedestrian bridge into the railyard is one of my favorites. Such a cook vibe. The finish line after party is always great, lots of music, people and free beer! Pink Gorilla Events always puts on a great race event!

One thing I wish they would change is running a shuttle before the race from the finish line to the start. There is one after the race, but I personally would prefer to park at the finish and be able to get into my car and leave right away, rather than have to ride a bus back across town to my car.

Two things that were changed this year that were big improvements in my opinion: first, the finisher medal was bigger, which was awesome. Second, because of a rescheduled makeup football game for Nebraska, the expo location had to be moved. The new location was much better because there was better parking, it was bigger and more room to walk through exhibits. Would love to see them keep that location.

Back again for another! I almost skipped it this year, but I knew my entire running group would be doing it and it's the one race we all get to do every year. I love this event. The course is fun, though it's not as flat as they claim. There's a big hill between mile 3 and 4. Be sure to take a headlamp with you. This is out in small town Nebraska and the course has NO lights once the sun sets. The path is very dark until you get to the finish line. It's probably one of the most fun events I do every year.

The one thing I didn't care for this past year was the price increase. While I love this race, I do not think it warrants a $50 registration fee. But it sold out in less than 4 minutes this year, so obviously people love it.

2018 was the 5th year I ran this race. It's in my home city and it's always my favorite event. The Lincoln Track Club does an incredible job putting on this event every year. The price is very reasonable, the race communication is great, and the expo is always fun. The course is a mix of flat and hills, but not all that difficult. It is also lined start to finish with people cheering. The Lincoln community comes out strong for this event. The start corral isn't the most efficient as it takes awhile to get going; definitely something to work on, but doesn't deter me from running it. The finish line is inside Memorial Stadium, home of the Huskers, on the 50 yard line. Which is really cool even if you're not a football fan. Overall, this is one of the most well organized events I have ever done.

I ran the 10 mile race this year because the price was cheap and I always enjoy a chance to get a medal! This a simple race, just as the logo says. There is a 5k, 10 miler and a half marathon. There is no expo with this one. Basically, you get a race, a shirt and a medal. I will say, the shirt is one of my favorites now. It's a long sleeve T-shirt hoodie. Super comfy. The course is an out and back, flat course. There were a few aid stations, just water and Gatorade. I would have really enjoyed this race had the weather not been miserable- 35*, 40mph winds and sleet. It was not pleasant. But if you're looking for a simple race to get in a long training run or maybe a PR, this is a great race for the price. It was $39 if you were one of the first 300 to sign up, it was $49 after that.

2018 was the inaugural event for this race. Another stellar event put on by Pink Gorilla Events. The race is a 10 mile event that runs around Lake Zorinksky in Omaha. The course is beautiful- it will be even more so once the trees have bloomed and the weather is warm. There are a few slight hills in the course, not many. There is an awesome finisher's medal, a nice race shirt, and a post race brunch with mimosas, coffee, donuts and breakfast burritos. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this race was the weather; it was about 40* with 25mph winds. Overall, it was a fun event and I will definitely do it again next year.
