I've run this race twice. The 25K and 18 miler. They have a new race director since then so some features may have changed but the race itself hasn't. Very hot and humid time of the year. Fun but challenging course that can either be dry and fast or flooded, muddy, sloppy and slower. You're guaranteed to go through water at least once at some point during the race. Limited aid stations because of the difficulty to place more on the course, so bring what you need in between. Be familiar with following trail markings or take your time because you will get lost! I feel like everyone gets lost at least once each time. It's so easy to miss a marking while trying to watch your footing. A fun and beautiful trail to run through.
