So if you are one of the people that enjoys doing Shamrock to start the season, and Hot Chocolate to finish the season. This may be the race for you.
I was in corral B , and I choose to start with my friends in Q. The problem I didn't realize is how congested the race would be with walkers. I am fine with people walking, I run/walk, however I feel race etiquette for walkers is staying to the right. The race started in waves and I thought Ram did a good job with the start for so many runners. However in Corral Q everyone started off walking, it was me and a small group of people who started out running slow, it was very dangerous trying to dart around people. Many were walking holding hands, so not much room to get around them. I have stayed away from Hot Chocolate because I have heard of congestion problems. After the race it was a pretty long walk I thought to get my Hot Chocolate. I will say thought race staff was super helpful directing people and telling them where to do, walking to the end there was not a line at all to get my Hot Chocolate. and if it had not rained the after party seemed very nice. I will also give props the hoodies are cute, the mug your goodies comes in is cute, and there is a band at the after race party. So the even itself is a good event.
