Between the main tent collapsing in the middle of the award ceremony, minimal aid stations, really awful shirts and strange hats, and a complete gong-show during the award ceremony, during which they could not figure out who should get what, causing the presenter to give up in anger, the race kinda bombed. I managed a 3rd overall and a 1st in category, but only came away with half my prize which was expired energy drink mix, and terrible music CD and a bottle of Jojoba oil?!? They lost my 3rd overall trophy and I had to remind them a few times about the 1st place finish... The scenery was beautiful though and I managed to have fun in spite of an ill-managed race. Of note, there was a bike race and a dualathon at the same site and I wonder if all the events may have contributed to the organizational chaos. Realtiming, the race management company has a harder time being organized. I've raced dozens of their races, and often there are problems.
