This is the 4th year I've done this race and I will return every year. It's so much fun. Pink Gorilla Events does an awesome job with their events. This is the 3rd race in a 10k series; if you run all 3 events there is a Blackout medal for doing so.
The course for this is in a small town; the first part is paved roads, then crushed limestone trail and gravel roads. There's one significant hill in the middle of the course but otherwise it is mostly flat. There are 2-3 water stations. There is a huge post race party with free BBQ, one free beer (with more available for purchase) and a live band. There is also a small vendor"expo" at the finish, with food, event merch and free post race chiro work.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge for this event; with it being in a small local town, runners need to park on side streets. However, if you plan to arrive early, you will easily find a spot and have a short walk to the start line.
A couple of notable changes to this year's event: first, runners who completed all 3 10k races received their medals at the finish line instead of having to wait until the annual blackout party in January. HUGE improvement. Also, the layout of food/tables/photo booth changes each year at the finish party and this year was a significant improvement in creating a smooth flow.

Overall, I LOVE this event and will run it again, If you're looking for a fun, Friday night 10k, I highly recommend.
