With a course change for this year, the Hamilton Lakes 10K just earned a higher spot in some of my favorite races. The two loop course is one of my ideal ways to race, you learn the course the first time around and then use it to your advantage the second time. The course is a good mix of rolling hills, nothing was too awful to climb. The neighborhood is a nice one to run through also. There is a lot of crowd support and the volunteers were awesome! I love that we pass through the start/finish area on the course twice, so friends and family members cheering do not have to go out on the actual course.

The race tee is nice, tech and women's cut. Every participant received a medal for completing the course. There was a glitch with the results this year, but they were quickly corrected. Age group awards were great!

Parking can be tricky. Runners have to park along the nearby roads. Get there early for a good spot near the start. The post race party had plenty of food, even pizza!
