Amy Penokie's thoughts:

One of this things I love about running is the adventures it takes me on!

Go! St Louis filled that requirement!

Expo and packet pick up:
Well organized, and fabulous staff to answer all your questions! Since we didn't do it ahead of time, we picked up transportation passes to make getting to the start line easier. Instead of finding parking near the start/finish line, we were able to park near Union Station and catch a shuttle to the start line. The expo itself had everything you need, and then some! I picked up a new handheld water bottle and chatted with a few reps from other races... I just might have added a few new destinations to my bucket list!

Race:
Start line was well organized and it was fabulous to watch the sunrise along the shore of the Mississippi River with the St Louis Arch behind!

The course is the perfect way to see the sights in and around St Louis. From the start you make a loop around and cross the river, giving you a change to actually run in Illinois for a short time before crossing a second bridge back into Missouri, with fabulous view of the famous St Louis Arch. After that, you run past Busch Stadium and several other monuments and parks before running THROUGH the Budweiser property - they even had some of the Budweiser Clydesdales out in the yard for runner to stop and grab selfies with! Then it was through some of the historic residential districts before working the way back down to the river where runner are greeted with a finish line, along the river, under the Arch!

Loved running this race and the 60 degree temps made this spring race even more fun to run!
