I have ran this race every year, since it started, and every year, the fun increases. The scenery Belle Isle has to offer keeps the two loop course interesting (especially the impressive view of the City of Detroit on the other side of the river). The last mile is considered the "Chocolate Mile," which participants are awarded a Sanders Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel. I will run this race again, next year.
