TJ 's thoughts:

Atlanta Women's 5K was my first race back in 2012. I have done it every year and keep coming back for more. It has moved from Candler Park to Chastain Park area. It is a challenging course with hills but the crowd supports makes you not realize that you are climbing again. Both men and women volunteer for this race. It is a lot of women's first 5K.

The race day experience starts with a warm-up led by Coach Amy. The crowd is hyped up by the awesome DJ and his crew Ronnel. Everyone is excited to be out and ready to race with friends. The parking can be tricky, but if you get there early, you won't have a problem.

Once the race begins, there are smiling faces and crowd support. The friends and families along with route and the volunteers make the race experience a great one. The race management puts on a great race. Atlanta Track Club races are well managed and are quick to make sure the participants have what they need.

The swag is nice too. Given the price for the race is very affordable, you get a t-shirt, medal that normally has a cool feature like a detachable charm or a spinner, snack box, and flower at the finish. In addition, there are backdrops to take free finisher photos, too. This year the race also provided free race pictures and could be automatically posted on Facebook.

I highly recommend this race to beginners and veterans alike!
