The race route was horrible. There was snow, ice, potholes, and lots of standing water. This was my first and last Polar Dash. I fell on ice near mile 2 and injured my knees. Thankful for the medics and fellow runners who called for help and waited with me. There needed to be more staff on the route salting and clearing it so we could run safely. Disappointed for sure in the decision to hold the race with the conditions of the route.
