Great race court and aid stations! The race was great aside from the rain and hail (which is to be expected in the midwest in April). The food and beer (2 for each runner!) after the race is plentiful, and there were also free massages available. The Half medals were awesome - they glowed in the dark! Would definitely recommend.

This is a series of "Healthy Holiday Fun Run" races. I am reviewing the Leprechaun Lane event.

The cost of the event is relatively cheap for the great dri-fit t-shirt and medal you get. If you do all of the events in the series throughout the year, you also get a special finishers medal at the end of the year.

This particular race was pretty chilly, but that is normal the second week of march in missouri. The race course was fairly difficult - there were a lot of hills. I ran the 5K, but the 10K had to do the course twice. I would be exhausted after doing all of those hills.

There were not many "treats" after the race, maybe some water and bananas. I would have liked to see more, especially since I had to go to work afterwards.

Another perk of this race series is that all of the events can also be run "Virtually." If you sign up for all of the races and then find out you cannot attend, you will still receive the bib, medal and t-shirt to do the virtual race on your own.

Overall, I think this is a great way to get people active and I really enjoyed the race. I plan on doing the rest of the events in the series.

Beautiful day for a 4-mile fun run this year! There were "teams" of runners also, which were called "Centipedes." The race has thousands of people running it every year, and it is a great way to get a PR. While there are some hills, it is a relatively easy course.

The one downfall I would say, is that there is no free beer after the race! Normally I wouldn't care, but as it is a St Patrick's Day race, I was quite surprised. The course does have people handing out free shots and even has a mixed drink station in the last mile of the race. There is also a group of scottish bagpipe players that plays before the race.

Overall, I would recommend this race and will be doing it next year!
