A lovely course just beware the 5k walkers and runners . I notficed when I finished they began to crowd me right at the end making crossing the finish line a little difficult

Otherwise it's an excellent course, cheaper then most other half marathons, you get an excellent shirt and medal all the volunteers were out cheering and running stations!

It's definitely a repeat for me and I would recommend it as a first half marathon just for the lack of hills!

This race is worth running once. Just for the views on the course alone. I am not running it this year however due to the fact on how much it costs .
As well the year I ran it they ran out of water at 18 km mark.

The Expo however is amazing!

The Sun Run I feel is almost a requirement as Vancouver Runner! If you mention it everyone has done it once or knows someone who trains for it etc. With this is mind it is the largest 10k race in Canada! So if you have issues with crowds this probably isn't the race for you.

You get a cotton t shirt which is why I gave the 3 stars for race swag because I personally prefer a tech shirt!

The most challenging part of the race is the burrard street bridge and the race actually starts on the downhill hence the 3 rating.

The Expo and post race celebrations are awesome, people try and run in costume. It's always a fun time. Other highlights include athletic stores coming out with silly cheering signs such as "Worst Parade Ever!"

It's not the most expensive race you'll run and you can run in teams and for charity.

Be mindful when signing up for a wave . I put myself in the 1 hour half mark and ended up passing people the wave ahead of me!

Also carpool. The race is in the heart of down town and if you find parking it's expensive. Transit is also a nice option!
