The Brewers Mini was a very organized race with great energy, great race swag, and great crowd support. The only complaint I have is that I just wasn't in love with the course. It was fun to run through Miller Valley, I loved seeing the Harley Davidson museum, but many of the surface street choices were unremarkable. Plus the smells around Potawatomi were smells I don't think I want to experience again.

That said, everyone should do this race at least once for the experience.

I look forward to the Rock n Sole Half Marathon more than any Milwaukee area race. My favorite part about this race is the route: you can't beat the views from the Hoan Bridge, running along the lakefront is fantastic, the crowd support is great, and passing the art museum near the end is just icing on the cake.

The race swag is great, too. I don't run races for the medals but I have to say that the Rock N Sole medals are some of the nicest in my collection, and I wear the tech shirt from my Rock N Sole races fairly often.

The weather in Milwaukee can be a little crazy this time of year, but it is rarely ultra-muggy which makes it one of the last really appealing half marathons of the summer.

Overall, highly recommended race.
