The Scheels Fargo Marathon is set in very flat and fast Fargo, ND. This year they moved the usual start and finish at the Fargodome to downtown Fargo. The one thing that downtown Fargo is lacking is adequate parking. To my surprise on race morning, parking was not much of an issue, however there were numerous shuttles taking people downtown from local hotels or businesses.

The course is very flat and runs through many different neighborhoods. The aid stations are about every 2 miles at the beginning with them being only a mile apart over the last 6 or 7 miles. The people of Fargo really embrace this weekend and the support from the community along the route is great. If you are looking for a fast race this is about as flat as one could get. But beware the weather for this can be very unpredictable with anything from perfect running weather like this year to rain, snow or the hollowing wind.
