I love this race! Not everyone can say they have a half marathon start line down the street from their house. A great local race.
The start line is at Higley High School. Access to the start line and parking were a breeze. Due to the race not being very large there wasn't an intense amount of people to fight. There were plenty of aid stations and small cheering crowds due to most of the race being in a residential area.
The main attraction is the finish! The last half mile or so runs side by side with the Gilbert Days Parade. Hundreds of people are cheering you on while Santa makes his way down the parade route. The race puts your name nice and big on the race bibs which is so great for other people to cheer you on. Lots of encouragement and fun at this race!
I would definitely recommend this race and plan to run it in the future.
