From the beginning, this was a fun, challenging, and well organized race. As a point-to-point race they had parking near the finish line and a shuttle brought runners to the starting line. My only complaint with the whole race was that I had to wait out in the cold rain for 30 minutes for the shuttle. A second shuttle would have been nice, but I completely understand the money involved in renting the bus and hiring drivers.

At the starting line sign-in was simple and quick. It was nice to have an indoor waiting area as it was cold and threatening to snow. The shuttle for drop bags was great as well.

The race itself was challenging but a lot of fun. The first 8 miles were hilly (I clocked about 700 feet of elevation) and the last 5 were mostly all downhill (about 1000 feet) and the race totaled -300 feet of loss. Definitely not a flat course.

The roads and turns were well marked. Roads weren't closed, but traffic was mostly light and I was never worried about cars. Aid stations were well placed every couple miles. The after party had good food.

Most importantly, it was a well organized race. I was never confused about where I was supposed to be or where I should be going. Overall, it was great.
