I run the turkey trot every year it is amazing! They have great race swag and it is a great course. Gallows hill is not as bad as they make it out to be but it does come at the end so save some strength for that! John is a great guy and when you register for one of these races you are considered family and will get nice emails on holidays and birthdays.

Fairfield half was my first half marathon. It was an extremely challenging course that required some walking. It’s great due to the music at all the best spots and the announcers at mile 10 to basically signal you’re almost done. It’s extremely hot always! Make sure you have water as there is a stretch where there are not any stations. The renter to the beach is challenging due to the gravel you cannot get that extra last speed.
