I LOVED Rehoboth Beach Marathon! I decided I would use this marathon as my first attempt at a sub 4! Now I may be biased because I did it (YAY!) but I think this course and the race itself was fantastic.

The course is mainly flat with only a few small hills in places, definitely a fast course. The course support was amazing. There were so many aid stations that I truly didn't even need the water bottle I was carrying. Because the race is smaller, there was no crowding at the aid stations like there is at larger races, so quickly grabbing a cup of water was easy and convenient. I have never seen this much course support. I loved it!

I was able to stay warm in my car up until 5 minutes before the start. I think this is unique just because it's such a small marathon. There are no corrals, but there are pacers, so I just lined myself up near the pacers that matched my goal to ensure I would be in the right spot. Even so, I was running almost alone for a good part of the race with only a handful of people around me. I loved it!

The course was beautiful, going through Cape Henlopen State Park and I smelled the beach almost the entire run, something I very much enjoyed. The medal was HUGE, and much to my surprise, I even won my age group and those awards were extremely nice as well. The race directors have a nice finish line tent with LOTS of food. I didn't eat much because my stomach takes a few hours to want to digest a ton of food after a marathon, but it looked delicious.

I will absolutely be back to run Rehoboth again one day!
