Signed up for this race last minute, but was able to get all of the needed information online. Very well organized race day, party atmosphere from pre-race, during the race with multiple entertainment providing course encouragement, and post race celebration. Only complaint was the 3 week pre-race cut off deadline for race packets to be mailed.

Part of the Drake Relays events, this race is a fun run for the whole family. One of the largest 1 mile races in the country with multiple start times based on speed and result desire from the pro races to the casual family friendly event. Only complaint I would have is the lack of parking in immediate area to the start / finish lines. Be prepared to park on streets around downtown and walk your way to the event.
