This race was absolutely beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend in Missoula. I participated in the Beer Run, the 5K, and the Half. Everyone was super friendly. Lots of great support from the volunteers and locals. The downtown area is great, easy to walk, filled with places to eat. You don't need to rent a car for this race.

I ran this race in 2018. It's a smaller local race. I stayed downtown, and easily walked to the start line. The walk back to hotel was a little farther. This is a very sunny road race, not a lot of shade. The fire department turned on one of their hoses and it was a delight to run through. They were also giving out hugs. The finish line provided snacks and water, and I chose to eat in town after the race. Really great tacos at the place close to the hotel.
