I was so excited to run my first marathon but this was not the best experience. There was a lot of hype around this marathon, but it just didn't really deliver. The course was so boring. Why would you have the first part of the race through an industrial area? I was also in the corral that ran an extra half mile. I'm glad that I did it, no doubt, but it could have been better. This coming fall, there is is a new course and hopefully it will deliver.
