It started in front of Los Angeles City Hall. Packet pick up started earlier that day and you were encouraged to come way early for that but most people waited until the hour before to pick up their bib. Shirt sizes ran out and right before the race started they began to just hand out bibs to people. So people were getting bibs that did not sign up for the race and they were getting bibs that were not linked to their names. There were a lot of photo opportunities and the announces were great.
