-Positives: beautiful race, encouraging aid station volunteers and a couple of nice guys playing music and clapping:) thank you. 😊
- Negatives: I finished the race with a time of 2:17 and they were out of bananas, 😧 (the only Healthy food item I’m aware of, that had been offered to the relatively fast runners only:( For the rest of us slower runners, Unhealthy, Prepackaged , not good, vending machine style cookies and Unhealthy donuts were offered:( seriously? this is not the group of people to bring this to. Please, in the future, provide plenty of healthy, nutritious food items for all participants.
Also, their was a person announcing names of finishers, but it seamed only people behind the finish line could hear the announcer. This had been my final race to complete my goal of running 1/2 marathons, in half the states, by the time I’m half a century and no mention had been made about this special goal that I had achieved in Sedona. (I had let the race director know ahead of time). It would have been a nice encouragement to hear announcing as we pounded up the hill to the finish. Also, it would have been respectful, if previous finishers wouldn’t have been sauntering down in our race path as they were leaving the race and the rest of us strode quietly into the finish.😕
Also, we could not hear the National Anthem at the get go, except for a tiny portion and that sounded as if they had just nominated someone in the crowd to sing, who had never sung before.
Also, could you give me my actual place according to my race time and not gun time.
