Far surpassed my expectations! Excellent organization. Well selected mostly paved waterfront trail. Range of runners from elite to recreational. Well supported aid stations and cheerful crowd. Heated building with washrooms at the start / finish lines. Nice hooded New Balance Jacket given as race swag. Pizza slices and more!

Yes I like this race because it’s on an out and back paved waterfront trail in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. The out and back is a picturesque path with views of Lake Ontario. Although the out and back is repeated twice for the Full Marathon42K, I view this as an absolute strength for pacing. A smaller race run in May brings unpredictability in terms of temperatures. I ran this race twice where it was cool one year and quite warm 2 years later. Race is well marked and supported w adequate aid stations. Website sometimes isn’t up to date, but I’ve always been able to get answers via emails and believe this race offers decent opportunities to PB and BQ.
