This was my first half marathon back after a layoff from running of about 4 years. I am so glad it was! I was living in SF at the time but we made it a weekend trip, staying in San Jose for race weekend. We stayed close to the start and although it is not a bustling area there were several restaurants and attractions and a nice park to walk and take pictures in. The race was so well organized the start went smoothly and I never felt trapped or fenced in. There was considerable fan support and all the aid stations were stocked throughout (I finished in the 2:45 range). This was the race that got me motivated to run again and made me a massive fan of RnR. Great fans, beautiful area, fun swag and a well organized race. And San Jose weather is always great for a run
