- Starting line corrals were a mess. Volunteers holding the signs were only a few meters apart at the front; they needed to be more spaced out in order to have enough space for people to stand in there designated corrals; having separate starting waves would have been so much better
- The "moment of silence" was an disgrace. The MC's mic was not loud enough so only the people right at the starting line could hear. I was not that far back from the front and I could kind of hear here something about moment of silence but no one else around me hear. Everyone just kept on talking because they had no idea it was happening. The moment should have been more well organized so that the purpose of the moment would be given it's true respect, weight, and importance.
- Website said gels at 14km and 28km; they were only gels at 16km ish. WTF this messed me up.
- During the race the website crashed and my family and friends were unable to live track me.
- Most water stations VERY poorly managed. Please, please, please train volunteers and have all water stations consistent (e.g. water first, Gatorade second)
- A lot of the route was not well marked, didn't feel like I was on a race route; pedestrians and cars passing through etc.
- Section along the waterfront path was awful because there were tons of pedestrians on the course.
- I feel bad for the people who did the bag check - the bags were just left, unattended, on the ground in the parking lot.
- The whole shuttle bus thing was a mess. Every other race I've done that was an A to B route has had super easy to use, FREE, shuttle buses. No advanced sign up required.
- Food at the finish line was meh. Bananas were super green.
- The metal was unnecessarily large. Should have used the $$ for the extra metal materials to hire more experienced race managers.
- I will not do this race again, and I highly recommend runners to the Mississauga instead (I did Mississauga last year and it was great).
