Although this was my first marathon, I have completed 30ish half marathons. This race has a small hometown feel. It wasn't very small but not large either. The expo was great and had a variety of vendors, my favorite was the cryomassage, it felt amazing! Race morning was well organized had ample porta potties prior to the start. Volunteers and crowd support was great, especially welcoming at the hills! For a small charge (I believe it was $6), meal tickets could be purchased for a hot plate of chicken, vegetables, and pasta salad. It was good portions and good value for the money. There was free chocolate milk, fruit, bottle water, and granola bar offered as well. The band at the post race was great and so was the beer! The only thing I would have added was a PR bell, with it being my first marathon I wanted to five that baby a ring! 🤣

Everything about this race from registration to post race party was smooth and organized. I have run many races, throughout many states and enjoyed the majority of them, most of those races had atleast 1 thing I would change or make better. Not Indy Mini, they nailed everything! Although the scenery isn't the greatest, except of course on Speedway, the crowd support and volunteers made up for that ten fold. Course entertainment was very prevalent, even people from the community were out cheering runners on. I
Will definitely be doing this race again!

I have run multiple years and multiple locations with Best Damn Race, including Safety Harbor, Leftover, New Orleans, and Orlando. For the price, these races cannot be beat. One major plus is bibs can be transferred or deferred if needed, so registration is worry free. Shirts are well made with both male and female options. The best part of these races are the after party! They offer free beer and food, and not just one beer with a granola bar and banana either. Past years alcohol options have been Michelob Ultra, Best Damn Root Beer, and Absolut vodka. Food has included pizza, subs, donuts, fruit, and jumbalya (in New Orleans). They offer Blitz registration which adds a bit of fun and excitement to see how cheap you can sign up for. I am already signed up for Safety Harbor, New Orleans, Jacksonville, and new location in Savannah for next year!
