I loved the race! The organizers did a great job of not only effectively putting on a first-time marathon but also adding lots of details and perks that you normally see at well-established and larger races. The stakeholders of the communities along the race route, in particular Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, rolled out the red carpet for the runners and made the experience memorable. The course, while challenging, provided a gpod mix of (Iowa) urban cheering crowds, local flavor, and countryside/natural solitude. And finishing at historic Kinnick Sradium made the race all the better.

The inaugural Crandic Marathon was a success and I look forward to an even better race in 2019.
