Marathoners and Half-Marathoners start at the same time, and share the same route (until Half-Marathoners are diverted). After that it gets very lonely (<4,000 Marathoners) for a very good stretch. If you are not a < 3 hours Marathoner, then most of the entertainment is already gone. Due to the buildings your GPS can get very crazy specially half way. Very careful with the street cars tracks. Nice and small Expo, very easy to pickup BIB. Very easy to get there on public transit, or even parking. Water and Nuun pretty often. SWAG very basic, it could be better, for example, to include maps. Website could be better. Very flat with a few hills at the beginning and almost at the end before entering Downtown.

Very well organized, with different options: 12.5K, 25K, and 50K, and relays. A four loops of 12.5K on rolling hills, and well groomed trails.Race organizers are incredible friendly and helpful. My first 50K and my first trail race, so one lesson: train more on trails!...
This year the swag consisted in a beautiful Victorinox sling backpack. It would be better if they put more stuff on the bag, even small stuff from sponsors.
4 Aid Stations with water, Gatorade, Coke, chips, M&M, gummies, bananas, etc. Not really a need for a vest.
End of September the weather can be tricky, fortunately it was cool, with partial sun, and it rained the night before.
On the Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area, where there are campgrounds, and very close to several major cities (Cambridge,Waterloo, Kitchener, Paris, etc.). About one hour west of Toronto.
A great race, organized by great people. Fully recommended.

Biggest race weekend in Canada. 2K, 5K, 10K on Saturday afternoon, and 1K, 21.1K and 42.2 on Sunday morning.
Good Label races: 10K and Marathon.
Not a single promotional product in race kit. Just the t-shirt.Lots of sponsors, there should put something in the bag.
Because is end of May, very risky in the weather, not this time, but in the past years. They should think in moving it, specially to bring more elite runners.
Aid stations very well placed, I think every 3K, and great volunteers. There are some sections with no crowds, they should take advantage of some neighborhoods within the city.
Very nice it extends to the francophone province of Quebec, but still not too many people cheering.
I think there are no photos taken with medal at the end.
Overall, a good experience.

First timer. This is the oldest road race in North America (yes, older than the Boston Marathon). I ran the 30K, there is a 5K, and there also are relays for every 10K and 15K. Around 4k participants, it starts late in the morning, around 9:30am, which is great for this time of the year (temperature in the morning was about 35F, windy, but sunny). Very easy to find parking (there is an underground parking bt the mall where the race starts and finishes). I decided to stay at night (I live about 1 hour and a half), since sometimes there could be snow, and also, I had to picked up my bib the day before. Just one tip, if you leave close enough, you can pick up your bib on race day, if you pay a little more, that will work if you don't want to stay the night, or drive twice. Very well organized. There are plenty stations (about every 5K) with water and gatorade. Some people offer you bananas, fruit, etc. on the road, so it's nice. Lots of hills, but all hills have down hills!... Before 28K you meet the Grim Reaper, a guy, who stands there, close to a cemetery, very nice, he has been doing it for years. You finish in an Arena, which is nice, because you can have your family in the stands cheering for you. Swag can be better, this year was a long sleeve shirt, and one tiny UV cream, and another for acne. It's ok, but they could add more stuff for runners. You get an apple, apple juice, piece of bread, grain bar, cereal bar, water at the end. You run through residential areas, parks, highways, etc. so it is nice. However, I'd have liked it more if it was through Hamilton's downtown.
