This was my 3rd time Running the Hot Chocolate Race. As everyone says, this race has some of the best swag, great zip up or pullovers for this year a gold medals shaped like chocolate bars. One change they made with the medals this year is their not city specific, usually they incorporate something unique, like city skyline or monuments.

One mistake I did make was not leaving early enough to arrive in plenty of time. I left 2 hours ahead of time thinking that would give me the time I needed to park, get my races clothes, bib, gloves etc all ready to go but since they’re are doing a lot of construction downtown I made it only with like 20 min to spare. 🙄

The course was well laid out, it goes through different parts of Dallas, and past the famous Whisky 🥃 Hydration station (not officially part of the Hot Chocolate Race) I wasn’t brave enough to partake. There are a few Hill to traverse with the last and biggest at around mile 8.

Also I finally got to meet My Instagram friend Jenna Runs in person 👍🏻

Can’t wait to do it again next year.
