Very empowering race for women of all ages and level of fitness! Scenery was Beautiful, the houses along the course were amazing, makes me want to go back just to see the houses! T-shirt was cool but I wish a medal was included for those of us who love Bling!!! Loved all the quotes to motivate us along the course.

It was an awesome experience overall, I thought it would be crowded with bikers, halfers, and full marathoners but it wasn’t. Scenery was so cool even with the morning fog. The fog/mist kept it cool enough to run in the heat. Running alongside the ocean was just breathtaking. Planning on doing my 1st duathlon there next year.

This is a really good beginner 10k race. It is a small race so it’s not overwhelming and the shirt and medal are always so cool. Lot’s of locals, actually mainly locals run this race. Nice views of a different side of Oakland. If you want to get the best bang for your buck, run the challenge series which includes this race, one in SF city and one in San Jose.

The 10k Disney races are a piece of cake. In general all the Disney Princess races are so cool, you really feel like a princess just being part of it. I did the challenge (10k/half) this year and I gotta say, the pressure they put on you if you are slow, is a tad bit too much. I had issues with my shoes early on in the half and never quite caught up so I got picked up. 😣 I am doing it again Feb 2018 and will definitely be a finisher!!!

Even though we didn’t get to run the full 9miles we still got a bomb medal 🏅. It was raining so hard, I even had a large tree branch fall on my arm. It was soooo cold last year and wet, made it hard to run but at the end we get our Hot Chocolate 🍫 . Apparently it was not safe to run the 9 miles, we ran about 6 miles and still got our nice medal. The jackets are always awesome for this race. Looking forward to this years (2018) race. Will be doing 5k this year due to running injury.
