I hated the parking situation. You have to park a mile away to the buses that take you to the start of the race 12 miles north. It is confusing and that’s probably my biggest issue. Love the swag and the medals. They advertise the race as a downhill race which is not entirely true. It might be net downhill but they are rolling hills throughout the course. It was crowded but after the first mile things thinned out enough. I liked the race and would suggest it to the others but maybe I might not do it for a while just for the parking issues.

This race was a great race as the course was relatively flat for the first five miles with a nasty uphill on the last mile. Took us around downtown Baltimore and was better than I expected. If you get there early enough, parking is not an issue. I would do this race again. Packet pickup with anything Charm City Run is always easy.

Easy course. There are over 5000 runners all jammed in together so there is a lot of dodging the entire time. The shirt is an UA tech shirt and anything by Charm City Run is an easy packet pickup. This takes place in the city of Baltimore so parking in a garage is the norm so tack on another 10-15 dollars depending on which garage you go in. The after party was so busy that I pretty much skipped it and opted to go home. I also was not used to a later start which was around 1 pm but at least I could sleep in. It was an experience.

I’ve done this race twice now. The first time I did nit really know better, but the second time, I thought the 5k was too crowded for what I was training for. The course is a first 1.5 gradual uphill with the second part all downhill or flat. The last .25 is through Camden Yards which was really cool. The shirt is pretty nice as it’s an under armor tech shirt. Parking is tough if you don’t get there early.
