I’ve run this race for a couple years. It’s a very popular CNY race with a huge field. Sells out every year usually on the day or a couple days after it opens. Starts outside city of Utica and finishes at the Brewey with an amazing post race party. Need to park at finish line and bus to start or get dropped off at the starting line. They seat you in corrals based on projected finish time. The beginning can be relatively crowded but it thins out. No T-shirt or medel, you get a pin at the finish. Plenty of free beer at the finish line. Free messages too! The city of Utica all come out and cheer for the runners.

My favorite half marathon!! I’ve run this race 4 times and have PRed on all but one. Recently became a fall race. Usually high 30s/ low 40s temperature. Course is perfect loop around Syracuse neighborhoods with great spectators and volunteers. The elevation change is good, challenging but not too bad. The jacket is always great. Post race breakfast and beer.
