This was my first time to run BMW Dallas. I did the half marathon and absolutely loved it. There was so much energy every mile along the way from spectators and the course never felt boring. I loved all the swag I picked up (and I even bought more at the expo). I even accidentally ordered a men's size when I registered and the volunteers let me have a women's size with no problems.

I was worried about parking on race day, but there was the convention center garage nearby that had plenty of parking. We did, however, arrive about 2 hours before start. The first few aid stations in the start of the race were super packed, and I waited in line for about 5-8 minutes (an eternity when you're trying to PR!) for a portapotty at around mile 4.

The "family reunion" spot seemed like a great idea, but it was also super packed in that area, and spectators were forced to funnel through a small area to get from the finish line to the "family reunion" spot, so we ended up having to walk around the convention center.

All in all, I'll be back to the start line for this race. It was a lot of fun!

This was my second time to run this community race, and it's grown so much! The course is super flat and fast and is a fun race if you're looking for a low-stress environment. I found myself chatting with many of the other runners during the race and even afterwards, strangers were talking to each other and congratulating on another. This race is a blast.

What's unusual (and great) about this race is that it offers a 2-mile option. With that in mind, the 2-miler really gives you a chance to open up and test your speed. The course is flat and the weather is usually pretty chilly so you can expect to knock some time off your PR if you want. And because it's sometimes too cold, the race awards and food is all housed in a nearby college campus student center. It's warm, cozy and perfect for recovering after the speedy race.

Really, really enjoyed this race as my first half marathon experience. The race is relatively small, so you don't feel overwhelmed by crowds, but you're never running alone either. If you're looking for a first time half marathon experience, this is the race. The course runs around the famous AT&T Stadium and the Rangers ballpark and also careens through some quiet neighborhoods. I would run this one again.
