The Detroit Marathon is an awesome race that spans two countries. From running the bridge, down the Windsor waterfront, through the tunnel and back to the U.S. is amazing. The crowd is supportive, the aid station workers are cheering and there is all walks of life participating in the race! I love running this race. The only recommendation I would make to race management would be to make it easier for runners to leave when they are done with the race. I walked around for 40 minutes after running 13 miles trying to find an exit to my car. They only had two bridges available to get over the closed streets and the lines were long and the people were impatient.
