Course was ok. Marathon starts from.a city called Stra (in mainland). Major part of marathon is on main land.a part of the route is scenic and a part is extremely boring. However one forgets everything ad soon as you enter Venice (last 4 kms).

People are very motivating. However I experienced two big issues:
1. They transport runners from Venice to Stra using buses. This is almost a 45 min ride and buses are jam packed with runners. I was lucky to get the seat,however other runners were not that lucky.
2. I severely damaged my toe nail during the run and I was expecting some first aid at finish line. There was first aid cabin but no one even cared to listen me and they kept on sending me from place to place.

I hope this is just my experience.
