2nd year running the international 1/2. Enjoyed it so much last year I was ready with my credit card to sign up at midnight New Years day. Unfortunately I was battling a cold the week before the race and that screwed up my best laid plans. But even with a snotty nose and cough this year didn't disappoint. The race management did a great job keeping us updated about the crazy weather which thankfully didn't screw up everyones day. The only knock I can give the race is the selfie takers. I get it, I totally do. I'm a selfie taker too but I am courteous enough to step off to the side and not suddenly stop in front of someone repeatedly. It was BAD on the bridge. Even my slow a$$ was getting frustrated with the people take selfies and bottle necking the runners. But in the grand scheme of things that is all I can complain about. KUDOS to the social media team for the race. Love the contests (I was a runner of the week winner!) and the fun boomerang videos. Great job keeping us engaged even when it wasn't close to race day!
