Overall a very good race. Yes you need a passport for the International, and must sign up early so homeland security can review. Very crowded start, even with corrals, and be prepared to move a mile before you can begin to breakout to your pace.

The first 9 miles were especially fun. Trip over the Ambassador Bridge is great, waterfront run in Windsor had the best crowds and views, tunnel under the river a different (and hot!) experience, and entrance back into the city was a blast. Miles 9 onwards are somewhat less interesting until you get back downtown around mile 12. Crowds were great throughout the course. Supportive and fun. Plenty of free street parking on a Sunday if you get there about an hour before the race starts.

One hint— Aid stations packed and somewhat slow—Often had to wait for the water to be poured. Usually located on both sides of the road, so try to scout out which one looks less jammed. Not a big fan of chocolate milk at the finish line— some oranges or orange juice would have been nice.
