A quick out & back course. For those most part its flat & speedy, with a few hills both ways. Along the course we received fuel from Clif - I grabbed Mocha for the extra Caffeine. The best part about this race are all the Pre & Post Race Activities. For example, there were about 5 food trucks to choose from - Free Food! Free Race Photos! Free Beer! Free Massages! As for Race Swag, in addition to your usual tee - a nice durable tote & a super slim water bottle.
For extra bling, You can also run all 4 races within the Lexus Lace Up Series to receive the Lexus Lace Up Challenge Medal.

Summary: #HBDLA5K celebrates the birthday of Los Angeles in the heart of the city. This fast, flat, out & back course takes you through Chinatown & over the iconic Spring Street bridge.
Packet PickUp: Held in the Arts District, its super annoying to get to (as with anything in DTLA) but once you are there, there is plenty of parking, etc. I was in & out in 15 minutes. Just show your ID & they take care of the rest! A reusable bag with the HBDLA5K logo kept all the goodies safe! Compression socks & a climacool cap from Adidas, a soft t-shirt, some snacks & your Bib.
Conclusion: With this race being held the same time every year & on Labor Day weekend - its a great race to get in over the long weekend. The course being so fast & flat, you will be sure to score your next 5K PR!

A relatively low & fast marathon. The only issue is that during the dates of the races (late May), the weather in Cleveland is erratic. It can be beautiful & clear skies one moment - then the sky falls to pieces. During the race you will pass awesome Cleveland landmarks such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The #RT66Run will always hold a special place in my heart since it was the first Half Marathon I ever ran, but this run is definitely a Must Run!
First & foremost - train for hills. They aren't brutal, but there are a lot of them so you will want to make sure you are ready! The course is a non stop party taking you through some of the neighborhoods of downtown Tulsa & running along the Historic Route 66. There were plenty of aid stations & portable potties along the route, but there were a few areas that were Under Construction/Road Work - so it made parts of the route a little tricky.
