From the fireworks at the start to watching the sunrise, this is one of the best marathons I have run. The other runners are very social and the point-to-point race makes it ideal for seeing the outskirts of Missoula until you reach the city. Running along the river is beautiful. Add a grand piano player and a couple of cowboys on horseback and this is not your usual marathon.
