This was such a fun race! I absolutely love running through Market Common and the old military housing! It is such a fun atmosphere for the whole family! There is even a mile walk/run around the pond for the kids! Parking is easy to find in market common itself or in the park area. Great community event for all!

Super flat and fast course through the beautiful streets of Surfside Beach, SC. The course has no hills or uphill battles. The management does a great job of directly those at the split for the 5k and 10k. The streets you run down are filled with beautiful homes you cannot help but look around! The finish is right at the pier and by the beach so great photo opportunities. There was ample parking at a small lot and on side streets. Packet pickup was right at the start line the day prior to the race.

I have done both the Myrtle Beach Mini and Myrtle Beach Half Marathon and the mini was amazing!! Nothing wrong with the March half marathon but there is not much to site seeing to the course. The mini marathon has a great course, mini hills, but the course brings you down ocean blvd past some beautiful homes with views of the atlantic! It was by far the best (and majority) of the race! the finish line is on the boardwalk which is also pretty cool and you cannot beat the medal you get! The course had water and gatorade every 1.5 miles, the shuttle from the finish line to where you parked is quick and the driver is beyond amazing. He kept asking if we were cool/warm enough in the van and if we were too tired he would drop us off at your vehicles. Bless him. I thought for sure parking in the am would be a bit of a nightmare and it went so smooth, there was no line waiting to get a spot (you park at the mall-ample parking). Overall this was such an amazing course and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

First, when you cross the finish line you get a big ass medal. Yes, they are truly called big ass medals. The start and finishing location is absolutely beautiful! Parking was hassle free and you ride a shuttle over to the starting line. You can walk the distance but why not save those legs! The course itself is relatively flat besides the big bridge you need to run over in the first mile and again around mile 5-6. It is a tough one so make sure you train for it! May weather can be hit or miss and this past May it was brutal!

If you are looking for a flat and fast course to PR on, this is the race to do! Parking is unlimited at Broadway at the Beach, you will not have trouble finding a spot and the walk to the starting line and short. Tons of porta potties and the aid stations are great as well. It is not the most scenic 13.1, you are running down major highways, to me the most "scenic" area was running through market commons.
