This was my 4th RnR race, as I had run all 3 years RnR held a half in Providence, RI, but was my first RnR full. Nashville is such a fun city but feel like this year it was just a little too crazy with everything happening considering the NFL Draft was held on Broadway (the start) and at Nissan Stadium (the finish) on the same weekend. Overall it was a pleasurable experience with all things considered. I'm not sure if I went out too fast or of the long slow incline at mile 18 crushed me and removed all the momentum I needed to get through the final 10k which was hilly.

Expo/SWAG - The Expo was decent, nothing spectacular but still good. The shirt was alright and they had a few other options, I didn't buy much at the expo and I expect it will be on sale on the website eventually.

Aid Stations - The aid stations were fully stocked and everyone was so friendly. I'll include the music along the course as part of the aid stations as there was music at almost every single one and inbetween cause they had 32 bands/DJs along the course. One band/DJ for every NFL team.

Course Scenery - The course was nice, especially in the first 10 miles. Running on Music Row as a blast. The Marathon at Mile 16 took us through the Nashville Sounds ballpark and we ran the warning track so that was a lot of fun, after that it was through some more neighborhoods and Shelby Park which I think was very nice even though this was where I was struggling the most.

Elevation - My Strava said I did 1200 feet of total elevation gain. The rolling hills in the first 10 were a good energy boost, but as I said I think I went out to fast and lost my momentum conquering the long slow incline at mile 18 and the wheels fell off in the last 10k. The Last 10K felt like one big hill after another, with a little bit better race management on my half it might not have felt so bad but it was still a very hilly hilly course.

Parking/Access - I stayed in East Nashville so I just needed an Uber to get over and if it wasn't for the draft that experience would have been a lot better. I'm not rating the Parking/Access cause I believe my experience had nothing to do with RnR.

Race Management - RnR always puts on a good race and I will definitely run another one again someday.

I signed up for MCM 2018 out of FOMO of having so many friends and people I follow on Instagram running the 26.2 and I wanted to take another shot at the distance. MCM 2018 was my 3rd marathon and quite possibly my favorite (as of the time I'm writing this review I just finished my 4th marathon the RnR Nashville Marathon). The race had amazing course scenery, how can you not feel all the emotions after having run the Blue Mile and then run around the National Mall and in front of the Capital. I managed to Beat the Bridge but I remember the Bridge crushing my momentum. The long sleeve shirt they gave out at the race had to be the ugliest race shirt I had ever received but the other merch available at the Expo was really nice, plus the medal was cool too. I thought the race was well managed, I carried my handheld water with me throughout the course and the volunteers were super helpful in refilling it when I needed more water than just the cups.

I would definitely recommend this race and I can't wait to go back and run it again.
