This was a very fun and challenging race. The expo was in a large space and I found that there wasn't a ton of vendors to fill that space. It was easy to get in and out and I enjoyed that we received a long sleeve tech shirt and a buff. I didn't like that there wasn't parking set aside for the expo and we all had to pay. It would be better to hold the expo somewhere more public with free parking.

As I live and train in the triangle, I am aware of how hilly that it can be. This is a very hilly and fun course. The course starts out at the belltower (go pack!) and you run through downtown Raleigh and circle back through Meredith and head back down Hillsborough to the bell tower once more. I love Raleigh so I found it to be a very pretty and scenic tour of what downtown Raleigh has to offer. The medal was beautiful and the post-race party had a lot to offer! Overall, I will do this race again!

This race was convenient and had a lot of parking. The course is something I'm familiar with as this is where I use to run consistently. The expo was almost non-existent as it was in Lifetime. It was a pretty awkward packet pickup as when I went it seemed no one was paying attention to point me in the correct direction to pick up my packet. The volunteers were kind of rude and didn't crack a smile so it didn't really make me excited for the race. The race medal they gave us were old and didn't have the charm hanging off them which made it a medal I wanted to hide behind my others. They boasted that they would provide souvenir bubbly glass, but instead, we got cans of bubbly. The post race food was great and probably my favorite part of the race! Overall, I would probably do it again due to the course and proximity to home. I just hope they provide finishers with new medals next year to commemorate their hard work.
