This is a 5K I look forward to every year. It has everything I love: running, dogs, & wine. This is a 5K where runners are encouraged to register and run with their pups. It takes place at Working Dog Winery and there's a free wineglass and wine tasting after the race for each of the participants. This is one of the few races that still gives away a legit swag bag complete with a long-sleeved tee shirt (my favorite) every year. The race kicks off Chesterfest, which is complete with food trucks, wine, and vendors. There are also adoptable pups for rescue.

The course is a lot of fun. Be careful! The first mile is completely downhill, which can lead to an overly quick start. You have to go back up that hill in mile 2. Finally you run through a nice housing development and then back to the winery. The last .1 mile is on grass.

Post race, there is a wine tasting as well as great refreshments for people and puppies alike. One of my favorite events!
