Remember when Applebees & TGI Fridays had good food? Then you ate there again and you said to yourself: "Geez, this just wasn't as good as it used to be." Then you eat there again thinking 'maybe they just had a bad day' and you order your food and realize you should have just stayed at home and popped a Hungry-Man in the microwave. Well, that is basically Ragnar now. I've been running this race for about 5 years now and each year they cut something. They used to have good quality running shirts and now you get a light weight two-buck cotton shirt. Additionally, there used to be race workers at all of the exchanges and now there are not (but you still get to pay a penalty fee if your team does not draft enough "Volunteers". Lastly, and most importantly, and for me what is the straw that broke the camel's back is that you no longer get the "free" beer ticket when you cross the finish line. Now you get to shell out another $5 bucks for a beer that used to be included in the exorbitant fee you paid. You know what Ragnar execs, I paid for that beer and this year you took it away. That was my beer. Your cost-cutting proves you to be the corporation you are. You are no longer hip, no longer cool, just another race where you pay a fortune & all you get is a t-shirt a runner would only use while changing their oil. Last time for me Ragnar. Take my beer, you are dead to me.
