2017 was my first LLTH. The course is challenging. There is very little relief from the constant barrage of hills. There are no long uphill sections, just a steady flow if 1-5 minute uphills, some steep, some not, on excellent single track and minimal gravel service roads. The course is a series of out and back loops with aid stations perfectly placed. There was, in my opinion, good food after the race but bring your own post race recovery food just in case. This is a small trail race so don't expect an over the top production. Overall, the experience was fantastic and I am excited about next year's event.
