It was a very wet one and very hot but the heat didn't bother me too much. The course has it ups and downs I counted 4 hills, two big ones at the end of the race. The rain was the real problem it rain on and off the whole race. Take the ferry to this race, it was a nice 20 minute ride to the race. The race was very organized, NYRR is always that way. The second you get off the boat volunteers are helping you out.

It was a very hot one on that day. Any race in New York City you should always take the subway to the race and leave very early. The trains run slower on the weekend. This day the trains was delayed so NYRR push the start time back a little bit. The course was not that hard at all rolling hills, lots of water and Gatorade stations. The crowd was great cheering you on giving you that extra boost to run fast. One guy was handing out Hersey kisses. One cool thing about the race was the finish line was right by Yankee stadium. For the record I'm a Mets fan. The race was very organized plenty of volunteers to help you out. NYRR is the best I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I got there to the race a little late thanks to the MTA. If you are taking the train to this race leave a early the trains run on weekend schedule. The volunteers got me to the starting line very fast. The course was very flat and the course scenery was great. Flushing meadow park is very beautiful. It was plenty of porta poopers so it was no long lines. Every mile had a water or a Gatorade stand. Love the t-shirt for this race, teal singlet. I would run this race again next year.

This is the biggest race I ever ran in. It was very cold out that day in the mid 30's so dress warm. I didn't know this but could wear a old jacket to the starting line and then donate it in a bin. it a cool way to keep warm before the race. I didn't know that and I was frozen it took me a couple of miles into the race to warm up.

Take the subway to the race, It's little to none parking in Manhattan. The course scenery was very nice. A couple of miles in central park to start, then you hit the streets. Running through Time Square was amazing. The crowd was great cheering on all the runners. The finish line was in downtown Manhattan right by the world trade center. I just sign up for this race again. I love it that much.
